IMPERIAL GROUP HAS BEEN BUILT ON OVER 55 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING BUSINESSES IN GIBRALTAR

Imperial Group is the realisation of a vision, started over 55 years ago by the late John Risso. His legacy has been brought to fruition by his son John Paul Risso. We are a group of diverse yet synergistic companies, predominantly in the FMCG arena, always looking to grow and benefit from each other’s expertise.

The early years

The Imperial Group has been operating since 2014 as a result of a strategic decision to create a specific team to lead a group of established companies in Gibraltar.

John Paul Risso, Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Group, has always pushed for development and growth from the different companies that he managed - originally started by his late father John Risso back in 1962 when he started Restsso Trading Company Ltd.

In order to bring to life John Risso's vision for the future, his son, John Paul set up the Imperial Group to grow and diversify Restsso's activities into other areas. This separate company has garnered all its expertise from the various industries, wholesale food import and distribution, restaurants, dry cleaning - in fact, dealing with a number of leading international brands for the past 55 years has given Imperial Group a solid foundation on which to build for the future.

The internationally renowned Domino’s franchise

A NEW BUSINESS FORCE IN GIBRALTAR

Since its launch in 2014, Imperial Group has been the driving force behind the launch of Dominos Pizza, the development of Pressto Dry Cleaning, the joint venture with United Brands, the launch of Easyvending, a company dedicated to serving the Government tourists sites with vending machines, and the redevelopment of Cornwall’s Yard a new multi-brand commercial centre in the heart of Gibraltar which is aimed at also developing the old part of town.

The Imperial Group of companies is always growing, today it is made up of: Restsso, Pressto, Europa Point Express, Domino’s Pizza, United Brands joint venture, Easyvending and Cornwall’s Yard.

There are a number of other projects, building on the strong food expertise within the company, which are under way and that are due to be launched in the summer of 2019.

Imperial Group is a central business unit structured to be able to focus its energies on continually developing new ideas. Its specialised management ensures that these ideas can become a reality.
